Meet the Galileo Team at Fintech Meetup:
May 17, 2021
Don’t get left out. Registration ends May 28.
Galileo is a proud sponsor of the first ever Fintech Meetup, June 15-17 (virtual)--the industry event that’s all about networking. No speeches. No presentations. Just the chance to make one-on-one connections with the people you want to network with.
Click here to register and to get more information on how Fintech Meetup works.
Five Galileo team members are participating in FIntech Meetup, and they’re looking to connect with the most interesting people in the business. Meet them here first and then request a meeting when Fintech Meetup scheduling opens on May 31. (Yes, that’s Memorial Day!)
Philip Cormier, Strategic Partnership Executive
A seasoned payments executive of almost 20 years (11 at Galileo), Philip focuses on delivering the technology that fintechs need to turn their vision into reality. Prior to Galileo, Cormier spent eight years in a program manager role, building and managing one of the largest retail acquired prepaid portfolios in the U.S. Throughout his career in payments, he’s developed an appreciation for the challenges and demands fintechs face when developing new concepts, profitably and at scale. He combines a comprehensive understanding of underlying payments technology with the services fintechs need to be successful. He loves learning about new concepts and collaborating on how to optimize for success.
Jeff Currier, Chief Technology Officer
CTO Jeff Currier is responsible for the complete engineering and technical side of the Galileo operation. Prior to joining Galileo, Jeff led the development of the SoFi Money product. Earlier, he led engineering teams at Amazon Web Services, Twitter, as well as at Microsoft. While at Microsoft, Jeff was one of the founding members of Azure SQL Database team and led the initial launch of the service along with the rest of the Azure platform.
Ashley Dubois, Strategic Partnership Lead
Ashley joined Galileo in 2021 after what she calls “A great run with Yahoo Finance (Verizon Media),” where she led partnership initiatives to drive product adoption and increase revenue. She started her career on the trading desk at JP Morgan.
Kevin Ohlson, Head of Strategic International Expansion
Kevin draws on his experience having managed successful payment processing implementations across APAC, LATAM and EMEA to introduce Galileo's products and capabilities to domestic and international prospects. Before joining Galileo in 2019, he spent 13 years building systems, processes and teams at GE Corporate Card. Outside the office, Kevin is a coach in the USA Water Polo Olympic Development Program and high school swimming. And, when he’s not on deck or spending time with family, his head is in the clouds--literally--as he pursues his interest in aviation.
Archie Puri, Chief Product Officer
With her deep payment industry knowledge, Archie has successfully helped evolve product and data research practices to drive the mission of intelligent commerce. Formerly vice president and GM for Braintree, a PayPal service, she has 20+ years of experience in product development and expertise in product and technology leadership, spanning payments, search advertising, ad marketplaces and online job search engines. Her blend of business acumen, strategic vision and product savvy, along with her people-first approach to business, has fueled her 20-year trajectory from developer to leading the product effort at Galileo. She is a lead-from-the-front driver of strong positive movement in diversity within the tech space through her investments in fair hiring practices and inclusive behavior across her teams. She was named one of the Top 25 Most Influential Women in Payments for two consecutive years (2017 and 2018).
