Galileo’s Jackson to Judge First-Ever Fintech Americas Idol Competition
May 4, 2020
Tory Jackson, Galileo in-country manager for Mexico, will participate as one of three judges who will choose the first-ever Fintech Americas Idol. The competition, being staged virtually as part of the Fintech Americas TV experience, will pit six fintechs against each other to determine which deserves best-in-class recognition.
“With all of us feeling disconnected right now, the competition is a great way to bring us together and remind us that there are great fintech companies continuing to innovate,” Jackson says. “I’m looking forward to hearing what these brilliant fintechs from all over the world will share with us and very proud to have been selected as a judge.”
To watch the competing fintechs, you must register to participate in the virtual event. (When you register, be sure to use your Galileo discount code, FATVJoinUs, to get 25% off your $99 registration fee.) Registered attendees also will have a chance to vote for their favorite fintech, with attendee votes counting for 20 percent of the outcome.
Each Fintech Americas Idol contestant has five minutes to make the case for his/her company. Three fintechs will compete on Wednesday, April 6 and three on Thursday, April 7, with a winner chosen each day. Later Thursday, the two daily winners will go head to head for a show down, leading to naming the winner.
